Shortest player in the history of Major League Baseball
Edward better known as Eddie was born in 1925. On August 19, 1951, he became the shortest player in the history of the Major League Baseball weighing 60 pounds (27 kg) and standing 3 feet 7 inches (109 cm) tall, playing for the St. Louis Browns. At his first and only at bat, he received a walk on four consecutive pitches.
He passed away in 1961.
