[6]MRS. LOUISA ALEXANDRIA SULLIVAN
A very well-known resident of Tinonee, in the person of Mrs. Louisa
Alexandria Sullivan, wife of Mr. Albert John Sullivan, passed away in the M.R.D. Hospital on Thursday afternoon. For the past 7 months she had been residing with her son at Dyer's Crossing. She became ill a couple of months ago, following an attack of influenza, and entered hospital three weeks before her death.
Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Gaggin, of Clarencetown, her father being a lay reader and a highly respected member of the Church of England.
The late Mrs. Sullivan was 71 years of age. After her marriage at Clarencetown she continued to reside on the Williams River until 20 years ago, when her husband came to Tinonee to engage in the timber industry.
Deceased was a very active woman, and was fond of driving about the district — first in a sulky, and later in her car. Her bright, cheerful nature, gained for her a wide circle of friends, and her demise will be sincerely regretted.
In addition to the husband she is survived by the following children: Messrs. Fred Sullivan (Tinonee), Oliver Sullivan (Dyer's Crossing), Mrs. Arthur Horwood (Chatham), Mrs. Arthur George (Tinonee), Mrs. Stan Sawyer (Tinonee), and Mrs. W. Maddelena (Tinonee). One son, Herbert died at Junee about three years ago.
The brothers and sisters are Mr. Walter Gaggin (Leichhardt), Mr. Oswald Gaggin (Tinonee), Mrs. M. Sullivan (Tinonee), Mrs. D. Kirk (Haberfield), Mrs. E. Sullivan (Clarencetown), Mrs. W. Silversides (Banksia), Mrs. J. Becker (Rockdale).
The late John Gaggin (Lismore), Fred Gaggin (Taree Estate), and Harry Gag-
gin (Tinonee) were brothers, and the late Mrs. A. Goode, of Drummoyne,
was a sister.
The funeral, which was a splendid tribute to the popularity and esteem in which the late Mrs. Sullivan was held, took place on Friday afternoon. A service was held in the Church of England at Tinonee, when the Rev. P. de Laure Musgrove officiated in the presence of a big congregation.
Afterwards he completed the last sad rites at the graveside in the Tinonee cemetery. The casket was covered with beautiful wreaths. Mr. W. T. Howard attended to the funeral arrangements.
