SULLIVAN Tinonee lost an old and highly esteemed resident on Tuesday evening when Mr. John Albert Sullivan passed away in the M.R.D. Hospital, Taree, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had not enjoyed good health for some time, and within the past year had spent several periods in hospital. The late Mr. Sullivan was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sullivan, of Clarence Town, where he was born 77 years ago, and where he spent the first half of his life. He was a hard worker, and enjoyed the good will and esteem of all who came in contact with him. He was particularly fond of a good horse, and at one time competed at local race meetings. He was a splendid sport, in the best sense of the word, and all who knew him will regret that his journey in life is done. His wife passed away about five years ago. The children are Messrs. Fred Sullivan (Tinonee), Oliver Sullivan (Nabiac), Mesdames A. Howard (Chatham), Arthur George (Tinonee), Stan Sawyer (Tinonee), and W. Madda-ena (Tinonee). One son predeceased him.
