Biography

Charles was born in 1836. He is the son of Charles Gall and Anna Coutts.

It is unclear when he came to South Australia, but early in the year 1854, accompanied by his brother John , Charles left Port Adelaide in the schooner Elizabeth for Guichen Bay (where Robe now stands). Charles and brother John went to work for John Robertson of Struan.

Charles did not marry. Prior to his death, he lived at Owen Springs and he died at Macumba on 12 January 1896.^[1] His brother, John, was appointed executor of his estate estimated at 2,600 pounds.

Possible travel to Adelaide A Charles Gall arrived in Adelaide, Australia aboard the ship "Ramillies" in 1849 ^[2]
