Biography
Angelina was born about 1858. The 1861 UK census at Roath, Glamorganshire, Wales, showed her name as "Angelicia Galt".
She married James Clazie in 1874 at Sunderland, Durham. How did she come to be there, about age 16? Unknown. Maybe moved there with her parents?
James and Angelina went on to have 5 children, the first of whom died in infancy.
The 1881 UK census at Monkwearmouth, Durham showed her name as "Ann J. Clazey". (The "Clazey" spelling was found with other people in Durham but her husband's name was usually written "Clazie".0
James Clazie died in late 1899. The 1901 UK census showed that Angelina was a widow, "supported by family", lived at South Bishopwearmouth. Her name appears to say "Anglia", perhaps due to bad handwriting.
The 1911 census showed "Angelina Clazie, head of family, age 55, widow, occupation charwoman, born Cardiff, Wales". She died in the last quarter of 1911, exact date not found.
"Ann", "Angelina", "Angelicia", "Anglia"... nobody seemed to care about such spelling differences.
