William Thomas Ganong was born on 31 Dec 1826 in Kingston, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Thomas Carleton Ganong (1785 - 1856) and Elizabeth Cox (1787 - 1860).
William married Celia Helena Foster (~1834 - ) on 17 Dec 1851 in Carleton, New Brunswick. Their children were:
