Biography
When Martha Malinda Gargus was born on June 28, 1827, in North Carolina, her father, Joel, was 36, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 36. She married Elijah William Brink (1823–1895) on September 21, 1847.[1] They had seven children:
- Charles A. Brink (1848–1920)
- Joel G. Brink (1855–1928)
- James Nathan Brink (1855–1905)
- John Wesley Brink (1857–1918)
- Zilpha A. Brink (1861–1885)
- Franklin Elijah Brink (1863–1882)
- Martha J. Brink (1865–1943)
She died in 1898 in Platte, Missouri, at the age of 71, and was buried in Weatherby Lake, Missouri.[2]
