Biography

Frances was born in England on 24 October 1819.

Francis Garnish married Mr Guest Circa ? Frances Guest had three children William, Mary Ann and Henry.

Joseph and Frances were married in London, England in 1852.

Western Australia

Joseph his daughter Elizabeth and Frances and her three children emigrated to the Colony of Western Australia on board the ship Clara arriving on 3 September 1853. [1][2]

Joseph was a boot and shoe maker.[3]

Joseph was employed as a Night Warder at the Convict Establishment on 10 January 1854. The working conditions didn’t suit Joseph and he was dismissed, he received remuneration to 9 April 1854. [4]

Clara was born in 1853 in Perth and Louisa was born in 1856 in Fremantle.

Joseph died on 5 September 1860 in the Colonial Hospital Perth he was 52 years old.[5]

Joseph is buried in the East Perth Cemetery. [6]

Frances married Joseph Le Sage in Northam in 1862.[7]

Frances’ son Joseph George Le Sage was born in Northam in 1863.

South Australia

The Le Sage’s moved to South Australia.

Frances died on 27 November 1902 at the Home for Incurables South Australia.

Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1889 - 1931), Saturday 29 November 1902, page 6 PERSONAL. The death occurred at the Home for In-cruables, Fullarton, on Thursday, of Mrs. Frances Le Sage, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Le Sage, arrived some years ago from England, and two sons and two daughters reside in West Australia [8][9]
