Biography
Marie Ursule was born in 1819. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Gaudin and Rosalie Dugas. She passed away in 1884 and was buried at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery in Donaldsonville, Louisiana.
Marie was married in 1840 to Adelard Landry (1819-1909). Their children included:

Marie's father Jean Baptiste was a prosperous planter in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. He owned Home Place and Babin Place Plantations. After his death Marie's husband Adlard managed both plantations. In 1872 Adlard became owner of Babin Place Plantation. The plantation prospered through the late 1800's until he sold it in 1901.[1]
