Ruby was born in 1922. She was the daughter of John Geddings and Irene Jackson. She passed away in 2008. Ruby's second husband was Vernon J. Weidenaar.

• Ruby Geddings Mooneyhan Weidenaar, 85, widow of Vernon J. Weidenaar, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008.

Born in Wedgefield on July 23, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John James Geddings and the late Irene Jackson Geddings.

Mrs. Weidenaar was twice married, first to the late John McDuffie Mooneyhan and then to the late Vernon J. Weidenaar. She was a lifelong member of Wedgefield Baptist Church and especially enjoyed her friendship with the "Sunshine Girls" of the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Anne Fountain and husband, Guy, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; her sisters, Mayo Walker of Eastover and Mary Ann Ford of Sumter; six grandchildren, Timothy Price of Washington, D.C., John Price and wife, Cindy, of Monroe, Ga., Todd Price of Miami, Fla., Chris Price and wife, Ashley, of Lawrenceville, Teresa Rogerson of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Carmen Anderson of East Flat Rock, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren.

• Ruby graduated from Edmunds High School in Sumter, S.C. in 1940.
