in 1900, Michael Gehl age 63 was living at 215 fourth Street in a home that he owned in full. He was working as a Traveling whitewasher. Was living in the home with 37 year old margaret M ??Rabes who was working as a housekeeper.[8]

He was married second on September 21, 1905 in Neenah, Winnebago, Wisconsin to Margaretha Krebs.

In 1910, Michael Gehl age 73. Was living in Hartford Ward 2, Washington, Wisconsin in a home that he owned with a mortgage on forest street. Was living with his wife of four years Margaret age 47. He was able to read and write and had his own income.[9]

He died on April 14, 1921, in Saint Lawrence, Washington County, Wisconsin, at the age of 84, and was buried there in the Saint Lawrence Cemetery [10]
