Biography

Francis Marion Gentry was born 22 Aug 1859 in Webster County, Mississippi. His parents were Allen Gentry and Sabrina Jane (Coker) Gentry, (widow of Beverly Turpin Calloway). He lived in Choctaw, Mississippi in 1860 and 1870 as he is listed on the US Census for both years. Francis married Sarah (Sallie (the nickname she is listed on several records with)) Frances Blakely on 7 Oct 1878 in Webster, Mississippi. Francis Marion Gentry died 8 Jan 1916 in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Francis was buried in Dale Cemetery, Dale, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.
