Sarah Gersonovitz was born in Russia in 1870. She married Solomon Cotton about 1887. According to census records, Sarah and Solomon immigrated to America about 1894.[1][2][3]

Solomon and Sarah had eight children:[1][2]

  1. Jacob Cotton (1890-1950), m. Bessie Rotenstreich
  2. Gertrude Lena 'Spinney' Cotton (1891-1971)
  3. Charles M. Cotton (1894-1973)
  4. Rosa Cotton (1897-1974), m. Nathan Hurwitz

  6. Samuel 'Sharky' Cotton (1901-1986), m. Sadie
  7. Florence Cotton (1904- )

Sarah died in Worcester on 4 Jan 1924 at the age of 54.[4][5] She is buried at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery in Auburn, Massachusetts. [6]
