Theodorus Gijsen was born as a son of Gerardus (Gerrit, Gerit) Gijsen (Gisen).[1]

Theodorus Gijsen married Loescken around 1610 ("Loeske de vrouw van Derick Gijsen betaald den thijns."[2]

They had 6 children:
A daughter, married with Heijn Ottiens. They had 3 children
Gerard Gijsen, married with Catarina
Jan Gijsen, married with Maria Oetgens/Otten. they had a son Servatius and a son Theororus Gyssen
