Biography

The best guesses for Krijn's father's name would either be Gijs or Klaas, considering the names he gave his sons. Gijs would be the best guess.

There were several people in Wanneperveen who could have been Krijn's children. These are the ones who seem to have some kind of connection with Schutsloot, where Krijn lived:

1. Gijs Krijnen (1620).

2. Neeltje Krijnen (1630) from Schutsloot married Jan Harmens from Beulake on Jan 10 1658 in Vollenhove.

3. Geesje Krijnen (1635).

4. Annighjen (1635) from Wanneperveen married Geert Harmse de Goede from Giethoorn on April 7 1661 in Giethoorn. Children: Hermen, Jentien, Krijn and Aeltien in Zwartsluis. Annighjen made profession of faith in Wanneperveen on Oct 1 1666. Geert is mentioned in the Vuurstedengeld of 1675 and the Zoutgeld of 1694. They lived in Schutsloot.

5. Jantje (1637) made profession of faith in Wanneperveen as a widow on Dec 25 1666. She married Jan Roeker.

6. Vroutjen (1638) from Schutsloot married Pieter Cornelis. Children: Cornelis, Pieter in Zwartsluis.

7. Gerrittjen / Merretjen (1639) from Schutsloot.

8. Klaas (1642) from Schutsloot married Jacopien Hendrickx (son Krijn) and Aaltje Gerrits (son Krijn). Klaas is listed in the 1675 Hoofdgeld and 1694 Zoutgeld. Klaas made profession of faith on Dec 23 1662 in Wanneperveen.

9. Borchien (1650) from Schutsloot married Klaes Ariens Hollander (Klinkert). Children: Jan (in Beulake), Arrien. Burgje Creijnen was a member of the Steenwijkerwold church in 1685.
