Emogene Ginther was born on April 28, 1928 in Pomeroy, Salisbury Township, Meigs, Ohio, United States, daughter of Edward Josiah Ginther (1895–1967) and Mary Elizabeth Gregory (1890– ).

In the 1930 census Emogene (age 1) was the daughter of Edward E Gunther in Salisbury, Meigs, Ohio, United States.^[1] Edward E Gunther 32, wife Mary E Gunther 37, daughter Francis I Gunther 7, daughter Pearl M Gunther 5, daughter Emogene Gunther 1, mother-in-law Florence Gregory 67.

In the 1940 census Emma (age 11) was the daughter of Eddie Guinther in Salisbury Township, Meigs, Ohio, United States.^[2] Eddie Guinther 42, wife Mary Guinther 46, daughter Irene Guinther 17, daughter Pearl Guinther 15, daughter Emma Guinther 11.

Emogene died on May 2, 1986 in Covington, Kenton, Kentucky, United States, aged 58. She was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.^[3]
