He was a Veteran of World War 1. Barney was a great outdoorsman and fisherman; he was a type of man who would do anything in the world for his family and friends, and was well respected in his community.

Barney Franklin Goins
Services for Barney Frankin Goins, 74, were held at 4:30 p.m., July 14 at Crystal Springs Baptist Church in Anacoco. Officiant was the Rev. Jimmy Owens. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery.
Mr. Goins died at 9:25 a.m., July 12 at Broyles Clinic. He was a retired Civil Service employee.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Daisy Lawrence Goins of Anacoco; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Marze, Mrs. Zelma Dean Martin and Miss Ethel Goins, all of Anacoco; two sons, Grover D. Goins and Thomas C. Goins, both of Anacoco; one sister, Evie Ann Perry of Leesville; a brother, Willie Goins of Anacoco; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
