In 1891 census he is shown as a Barman at age 17. 1901 Residence - 24 Alston St. Ladywood, Birmingham, Waarwickshire. His occupation - Railway Stoker. 1907 Married Edith Alice Barnet on Jan. 20 at Holy Trinity Old Hill Dudley Staffordshire England. His occupation: Engine Man. His address is 24 Holbrook St. Ladywood. His Father's occupation: Carter. Marriage witnessed by Edwin A. Baarnett and Maud Crees. Original Marriage Certificate. 1911 Census living at Hyde Rd. 1930 Death at age 55 Erdington Hospital, 18 Union Rd. Ladywood, Birmingham, England. Mar. 29, 1930 burial - Catacomb, Key Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, England. Occupation at death was Locomotive Driver and worked for LMS line. Used to take engines from Vincent Street Works to New Street.
