1877-1879: Enolia was born on the 30th July 1879 in Decatur, Wise Co., Texas, USA.[1][2] She was the daughter of Franklin Gorham and Sarah Taylor. [3]
1880: In the 1880 census Emlie was living with her parents F P Gorham and S A Gorham in Precinct 6 of Wise County, Texas, USA. It appears as if the census taker confused which little girl is which because she is listed as 3 years of age and born in Arkansas while her older sister Junetta Gorham is listed as 10 months old, born in July 1979 in Texas. Also present in the household is their older brother Otho Gorham.[4]
1900: In the 1900 census Enolia Gorham was living in Mangum Township, Greer Co., Oklahoma Territory, USA with her parents Franklin P Gorham and Sarah A Gorham. She was single, aged 20, and was born in Texas. Her father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas. Other members of the household were her brothers Otho Gorham, Stonewall J Gorham, William A Gorham, Henry E Gorham, an un-named baby brother and her sisters Myrtle O Gorham and Viola Gorham.[5]
1904-1913: Enolia's parents Franklin Gorham and Sarah Taylor were part of the group of Oklahomans who moved to Mexico as part of the Blalock Mexico Colony.[6] Her father arrived there on 4th March 1903 and it was possible that Enolia was with her parents. On the 1st December 1909 Enolia married Richard B Brothers at Marie, Greer Co., Oklahoma.[7] They lived in Chamal at least through 1913 for their daughters Lola Brothers and Monta Lois Brothers were born there.[8] The Mexican Revolution eventually caused them to return to the United States.
1920: In the 1920 census Emolie Brothers was living on 5th Street in North Powder, Union Co., Oregon, USA. They were renting, and she was aged 39, and married. She was born in Texas, her father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas. Living in the same household were Richard Brothers, her husband, Lola Brothers, a daughter, Monta L Brothers, a daughter, and Henry F Brothers, a son.[8]
1930: In the 1930 census Enolia Brothers was living in Cove, Union Co, Oregon, USA on Conklin Road. Her husband was renting and she was aged 47, and was married at age 26. She was born in Texas, her father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas. Living with her were Dick B Brothers her husband, Sara Brothers, a daughter and Frank Brothers, a son.[9]
1940: In the 1940 census Enola Brothers and her son Frank Brothers were living at the same place as they were in 1935 in Cove, Union Co., Oregon, USA. Enola was paying rent, was a widow, aged 60 and was born in Texas. She worked in the home.[10]
1961: Enolia Brothers died on the 26th of August 1961 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon.[11] She is buried in the North Powder Cemetery, North Powder, Union Co., Oregon beside her husband Dick B.[1][2]
