James Alexander Grant was born about 1860, Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.[1] Son of John Grant and Ann Pennington. He married Mary Ann Batiste on July 4, 1892.[2] He passed away March 18, 1922, Midland, Ontario, drowned at dock while working as a watchman.[3]
