John Charles "Jack" Greenhill was born in 1882 in Mooroopna, Victoria, Australia, son of Bertha Ellen (Howard) Greenhill and John Charles Greenhill.[1]
He was married to Alice Grace Camden in 1908 in Victoria.[2]
Jack served in the Imperial Light Horse in South Africa during the Boer War and in the 12th Australian Brigade during the First World War. (See online Australian Army attestation papers). His occupation was listed as “horse driver”.
John died in 1955 in Warragul, Victoria, aged 73 years.[citation needed]
