Biography

Leroy Gregory was born in Virginia, son of Richard Gregory and Nancy Vaughan. If he was the youngest, as suggested by the order of the nine children in Richard's will, then he was likely born after 1779.

Leroy married Mary "Polly" Walker on 9 Jul 1801 in Washington County, Kentucky, and she is presumed to be mother of all their children. She survived him and consented to the marriage of their daughter Emeline in 1838.
