Biography

Joseph was born about 1874 in Roane County, Tennessee. They moved to White County, Tennessee sometime in late 1879. He was a farmer and later a ranch hand, in New Mexico. He moved his family into Oklahoma in the 1920's and from there to Texas for a few years, then they all moved to New Mexico. Joseph and his sons worked as farm/ ranch hands on the Sanchez ranch. . He passed away in 1934. and is buried there in Los Ojos, called Park View back then.

visited grave, information from headstone. I have a sister Ruth Yvonne and a brother Louis DuWayne buried next to my Grandfather Joe, both born and died before I was born. When we tried to find the Rutheron Cemetery we spent hours going up and down the road. Finally found someone that knew where it was. We had to go through a gate into a pasture and then up over a hill. Not the easiest cemetery to find, but the family that owns the land keeps it up very well. Find a Grave shows an added large sign on the road, so should be easier to find now. My sister and oldest brother were born in Park View also.
