Biography

On 4 Jun 1880 at the time of the 1880 US Census, head of household Charles Payne (age 40, born in OH) was employed as a Mail Route Agent and living at 603 South Centre Street in Bloomington, McLean, Illinois with his wife, Amanda Payne (age 35, born in OH); son James Payne (age 13, born in IL); son Harry Payne (age 10, born in IL); son Fred Payne (age 8, born in IL); and daughter Jesse Payne (age 1, born in IL). Both of Charles's parents were born in Ohio; both of Amanda's parents were born in Ohio. ^[1]

On 11 Nov 1896, Harry M. Payne (age 28, born in Clinton, Illinois) married Katy Ryan (age 23, born in Harristown, Illinois) in Bloomington, McLean, Illinois, USA. Harry's parents were C. Payne and Amande Griffeth; Katy's parents were James Ryan and Honora Keffe. ^[2]

On 28 Apr 1910 at the time of the 1910 US Census, head of household Amanda A.
