A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Wilhelm Funeral Home in Portland for Dick Henry Gripp, who died June 15 at age 92. Mr. Gripp was born June 24, 1910, in Silver Lake. In about 1950, he moved to Portland. He was a mechanic with Freightliner, where he worked for ten years. In 1935, he married Erma Peery; she died in 1993.

Survivors include his daughter, Jeanine Riggs; companion, Mary Cassidy; and one granddaughter. Remembrances to Civil Air Patrol.
