Reuben worked on the NSW Railways and during his career was Station Master at Scone, Blackheath, and Kogarah.[2]
He married Margaret John Trim at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney, New South Wales, on 7 September 1916.[3][4]
Margaret died in 1925.
In 1930 Reuben remarried to Thelma Florence Moran at Canterbury, NSW.[5]
He died instantly in a rail accident at Kogarah station on 6 April 1946 when he attempted to cross the line and was struck by a train passing through the station.[6][7][8][9]
