Edgar L. Hadley was born Oct. 07, 1870, in Clinton county Ohio he son of James and Isabelle Hadley. He lived there until his marriage to Ida Villars Jan. 28, 1892, and the couple moved to a farm near Elk city in 1901. Mr. Hadley moved to Coffeyville in 1910 and was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad there. He retired Dec. 8, 1936, and returned to a farm east of Elk City. Following the death of his first wife, he married Mrs. Loma Redman, Jan 7, 1951, and she preceded him in death July 1, 1967. He was preceeded in death by his first wife Ida Rebecca Villars, a son Harold Hadley and a daughter Irena May Merritt. He was a member of the Elk City Methodist Church. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. G.C. (Rene) Newmaster of Independence, and Mrs. F.A. (Louella) Richardson, Alhambra, Ca. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary McMullen of Wilmington, Ohio, and Miss Ruth Hadley, Clarksville, Ohio, Two brothers, Everett and Alontie, Wilmington, Ohio, and 15 grandchildren, 30 great- grand children and 10 great- great- grand children.
He was also married to: Gertude "Hall" Shockey and Emma Mercer before he married Loma Gerhart (Redman). They all preceeded him in death.
