Biography
Mary "Molly" Haines was born on 30 Aug 1761. She was the daughter of David Haines and Lydia (Cate) Haines.
Molly Haines and Taylor Clark were married on 8 Apr 1784 in Sanbornton, Strafford (now Belknap), New Hampshire by Joseph Woodman, Clergyman.[1] Taylor was a Deacon of the First Baptist Church, who was greatly esteemed and highly influential in his church.[2]
Molly and Taylor settled in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, where they had the following children:[3]
- David Cate, born 2 Mar 1785
- Mayhew, born 26 Jul 1786
- Taylor Jr., born 9 Apr 1788
- James, born 13 Apr 1790
- Jacob, born 16 May 1792, Jacob passed away on 28 Sep 1792
- Mary/"Polly", born 4 Oct 1793
- Eliza B., born 25 Jan 1797, Eliza passed away on 1 Jul 1798
- Jacob, born 9 Jan 1799
- Eliza/"Betsey", born 11 Nov 1800
- Nathaniel, born 7 Aug 1803, Nathaniel passed away on 22 Aug 1803
- Sally, born 17 Oct 1806
Molly passed away on 2 Oct 1845 in Sanbornton, Belknap, New Hampshire.[4] Mary was buried at Pest Hill Cemetery in Tilton, Belknap, New Hampshire.[5]
