Biography
Creacy was born about 1846, in Henry County, Virginia. She is the daughter of Sandy Hairston and Miny Stockton.
On 19 May 1869, in Henry, she married Benjamin Hairston (b. 1831)[1]. They are not believed to have had children.
It is believed Benjamin died between 1870-1875. She married a 2nd time, on 16 Nov 1876, in Henry, to Bird Meadows[2]. He was a widow with children from his prior married. They had the following together.
- Bird Sandy Meadows b. 1877 - d. aft. 1916, m. Letitia Ellen Ross
- Anna Bell Meadows b. 1879 - d. aft. 1880
- Baby girl Meadows b. 1884 (possibly stillborn or died shortly after birth)
While the exact date is unknown, she is believed to have passed away between the 1900-1910 censuses.
Bird lived until 1920 when he is shown dying, a pauper, in the Henry County Almshouse.
