Biography
Cristóbal Halffter is Notable.
Full name at birth was Cristóbal Halffter Jiménez-Encina.
Composer, Conductor. Member of a family of musicians, he was considered one of the most representative composers from the Generation of 1951. Halffter obtained the National Prize of Music in 1954 and 1989.
He was a nephew of Ernesto Halffter. He married the Spanish pianist Marita Caro; they had 2 sons and a daughter.
