The early years

Louisa Hall was born in Indiana on the 3rd of March 1838 to Jacob Hall[1]and Catherine Martin[1].

Family Life

She married A.J. Rodgers and they would have:

  • John William Rogers(1858-1917)[2][3][4][5]
  • Carrie Rogers(1862-?)[2][4]
  • Nettie K Rogers(1864-1937)[2][4]
  • Unknown Rogers lived and died prior to 1900[6]

In 1860[3] 24 year old William Creisel was living with them.

In 1870[2] 28 year old Mary Gaddis was living with them.

In 1880[4]

In 1900[6] Louisa confirmed she had 4 children with 3 still living.

Death

She died on the 28th of August, 1901[8][1] in Salonte, La Porte, Indiana[1] and would be buried in the Door Village cemetery in Door Village, La Porte county, Indiana[9]

MRS. A.J. ROGERS[10]

Mrs. A.J. Rogers, mother of Mrs. F.R. Carson, of this city, died yesterday morning at Laporte, after an illness of over a year during which time she was a most patient sufferer. A year ago last April she fell breaking her hip, shortly afte rthat she sufforded two strokes of paralyssis and for the past year her right side had been completely paralyzed, making her suffering almost constant. A short time ago inflamation of the bowels and stomach set in and her death was caused directly by that. Mrs. Rogers was born March 3, 1838, at Round Grove, near Door Village, and she had lived in Laporte county all her life.
