Biography

According to her State of Arizona Death Certificate, Melissa was born April 25, 1861, in Washington County, Utah, was married to James Edgar Chesley, she passed away in Mesa, Arizona on May 9, 1933. Dr. C. A. Donaldson, the physician who signed her death certificate, reported that she died of a "cerebral hemorrhage", and added, "Did not see her alive".<http://genealogy.az.gov/azdeath/047/10472739.pdf>

The headstone to Melissa Hamblin's grave reports a birth date of April 22, 1860, conflicting with the birth date on her death certificate.
