Mary Jane Hamell was born Olive Frances Hamell 05 Mar 1922 in Mission City, British Columbia, Canada. ^[1]

She and her siblings were all raised by different relatives, she lived with her fathers sister, Sophie Buckley. ^[2][3]

She first married Walter E Chapski 7 Nov 1942 in Michigan ^[4] and divorced 27 Aug 1946 in Wayne, Michigan, USA. ^[5]

She second married Ward Howard Barnett Jr. after 1946, he died in Vietnam in 1969.

She last married Ellsworth Horace Hawthorne on 20 Sept 1970 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa, USA where they lived for many years.

She died after 2001^[6]
