Alma Houze Hamilton was born about 1892 in Neepawa, Manitoba, Canada. She was the daughter of Joseph Hamilton and Elizabeth Allan. Her father was worked as a retail hardware merchant and was of Methodist faith.[1]
In the 1906 census Alma (age 14) was living with her father Joseph (age 43), mother Lizzie (age 41), and siblings: Edna (19), Jessie (17), and Hewitt (10), in Neepawa, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada.[2]
Her family moved west at some time prior to 1911 to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where her father worked in real estate.[3]
In 1921 Alma was still living with her parents in Vancouver and was working as a bookkeeper in a jewellry store.[4][5]
In the 1931 census Alma (age 38), Saleswoman/retail jewelry, was the single daughter of Joseph Henry Hamilton (age 68, salesman) and Elizabeth Allan Hamilton (age 66), in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[6]
Alma passed away at 93 yrs. of age in 1985 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is buried beside her parents in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[7][8][9]
