pp. 479-481 Indenture made first day December 1762 between Bryan FAIRFAX of county Fairfax Gent. of one part and Jeremiah HAMPTON of Loundoun County....Â… in consideration of rents and covenants.... farm let parcel of land being in county Loundoun on the Wankopin branch Â… containing 150 acres Â… to have and hold during natural lives of Jeremiah HAMPTON, Elizabeth his wife, and Joseph Hampton their son and longest liver of them.... paying on or before 1st day Dec 1766 and thenceforth yearly the sum of Four pounds current money of Virginia Â… provided Jeremiah HAMPTON within five years do plant at least 100 apple trees thirty feet distant and keep them well pruned and within a good fence and also cause to be built a dwelling house twenty feet long and sixteen feet wide and other such houses as his way of Husbandry may require....
