Wilburn Barnes Hance was probably in Burkburnet, Wichita County, Texas in 1920. His father Andrew Jackson Hance died as a result of a oil well accident, his brother in law, William Bell is listed in the 1920 census as an employee of the oil company and his brother Earl Hance is also listed. No family members were enumerated by the census taker. We don't know when the family left Missouri for Texas, but it was probably after March 1919 because Wilburn's sister Lyde (Louisa) married in Phelps county, Missouri in March 1919. Lyde was my grandmother, she died in 1956. I remember attending Wilburn's funeral in 1972.
