Biography
Alfred "Alf" Hanlon was born 01 Aug 1866[1][2] in Dunedin,[1] New Zealand.[2] He was the son of Irish immigrants, William D. Hanlon[2] and Eliza Bingham.[2]
Alfred was married to Mary Ann Hudson[3] at St. Paul's Church,[4] Dunedin, New Zealand[3] on 20 Jun 1894.[4]
He became a distinguished lawyer[5][6].
Alfred died on 06 Feb 1944[1][7] in Dunedin,[1][7] aged 78.[7] He was buried the next day[7] in Andersons Bay Cemetery[1][7] with Mary Ann (block 152, plot 89).[7] Their grave is marked simply with a small marker for each of them bearing only their names, with a later marker added for their grand daughter Doreen.
