He passed away in 1963 and is buried at Saints Peter And Paul Cemetery, New Braunfels, Comal County, Texas.[1][2]
His obituary states that he was survived by his wife, Effie; daughters Mrs. Raymon Millet, Mrs. Henry Millet, Mrs. Clifford Wilson and Mrs. Junny Rawling of New Braunfels and Mrs. Roscoe Edwards of Houston; a son Frank Hardeman of New Braunfels; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Burleson and Mrs. Lola Cheatum of San Marcos and Mrs. Cola Smith of Seguin; a brother Sam Hardeman of San Marcos; 36 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.[3]
