Biography

Fred Hardwick is a part of US Black heritage.

Fred Douglas Hardwick was born in 1916 in Alabama. He was the son of Monroe Hardwick and Rosa Smith.[1] In 1930 he was living with his parents in Brundidge, Alabama. Aged 13, he was already a laborer in a lumber mill.[2]

He married Zeola Flowers on 14 October 1940 in Alabama.[3] In 1940 he was living with his wife and sister-in-law Essie Lou Williams in Brundidge.[4]

He died on 16 September 1969 and was buried in St Paul Cemetery in Brundidge, Alabama.[5]
