William's second wife was Sarah Stones. They were married in Sheffield in 1859. [4]. The marriage took place in Sheffield, Cathedral Church of St Peter & St Paul on 29 March 1859. Sarah's father was John Stones, a miner. [5]
In 1874, William married for a third time to Elizabeth Swift (nee Hibbert), in Chesterfield district [6]. The marriage took place at Beetwell Street Primitive Methodist Chapel, Chesterfield [7]
William passed away in Chesterfield district in 1888, he was 60 years old [8]
