Biography

John Harmon was born as Johann Hamann about 1828 in Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany. His parents are still unknown as of now.

John Harmon married Frederica Schoenbild about 1854 in Germany. Now, this date is based on the birth of their first child, which was born in 1855. The family emigrated to the United States, settling in Chicago. John and Frederica left Jaebitz, Mecklenburg the 15 Mai 1857 on a ship named Flight headed to America. And, on the 14 Jul 1857 they finally got to New York and made their way to Chicago. John and Frederica had 8 children:
