Sarah J. Haskell was born in 1850 in Andover, Merrimack, New Hampshire, United States. Her parents were John Haskell and Nancy Potter.
Sarah had two children with Ranson Wheeler: Helen b. 1871 in Sutton and Benjamin Wheeler b. ca 1874.
She married Charles Hall on July 1, 1876 in Newport, New Hampshire. He was about 50 years older than her. They had at least one son: Wallace S. Hall (1877–1895).
In 1880 she was 29 years old and lived with her husband and their son in Newport, Sullivan, New Hampshire, United States. Her husband was 78. His two sons from a previous marriage Walker and Mason was also part of their household, as well Sarah's children Helen and Benjamin Wheeler, and Sarah's mother Nancy Haskall.
Sarah and Charles divorced on September 9, 1886. Cause: Adultery.
Sarah died on February 6, 1896 in Concord, Merrimack, aged 45. Cause of death was Bright's disease, today known as nephritis. It was the same disease her son had died of the previous year. They are both buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.[1]
