The death occurred yesterday afternoon after long illness of Mr. Robert Hay; in his 84th. year. He was a well-known and respected resident of this city. Deceased was born at Tiaro, and served his apprenticeship at Walkers Ltd at the boiler making trade and had been with firm ever since with the exception of three years when he went to England being engaged In making munitions during the Great War. He was one of the foundation members of the Boilermakers Society. He leaves a wife Mrs. Ellen Ann Hay and a family of five sons and five daughters to mourn their sad loss, namely Robert Thomas, Percy, Eric William, Andrew James and. John Henry (Maryborough), and daughters, Mrs. J. Coyne (Kingaroy), Mrs. P. St. Ledger (Maryborough), Lorna Beatrice, Dorothy Isabella and Eva Hay at home. There are nine grand children, also the following brothers: William, Walter (Bundaberg), Albert (Marrawing) ; sisters Mesdames W. Cross (Sydney), J, B. Pershouse (Marrawing),' H Dear (ElArish ) and A. Atkinson and Miss Ellen Hay (Bundaberg). The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from his late residence, Albert-Street.
