Biography

Mary Hayes was born about 1849 in Ireland, the daughter of Michael Hayes (1821- ) and Mary McAuliff (1824-1903), both of Ireland.

She lives with her parents and siblings in the 1851 and 1861 England and Wales Censuses in Alderney and then St. Peter's Port on Guernsey, and as a 22 year old servant in the 1871 E & W Census, residing at St. Peter's Port, Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands,
