Lydia died on 15th December 1842. The newspaper annoucement stated
15th inst., deeply lamented by her family and friends, Lydia Hayward, the wife of S. A. Notcutt, Esq., of this town. For many years, and until prevented by severe affliction, she was an active and judicious member of several benevolent Institutions ; and her death has deprived the poor of a kind friend and benefactress.[3]
Lydia's death (age 66) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1842 in the Ipswich district.[4]
