Biography

Mary Hazlewood was apparently the first-born of nine children born to John Hazlewood and his wife, Sarah Custobody.

Simon and Mary (Hazlewood) Freeman left her family behind in Perth and Huron Counties, and moved up to Grey County, apparently to be near Mary's aunt, a sister of her mother Sarah, also named Mary.

Mary and Simon had 10 children. She passed away in Markdale in 1915.
