Birdie (Hazzard) English is a part of US Black heritage.

Birdie was born about 1901 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of Edward Hazzard and Georgia Wicker.

In 1920 Birdie was living with her parents and younger siblings in South Highland Park, Kentucky.

She married Elmore English.

Birdie passed away at age 69 in Louisville. She was survived by a daughter and grandchildren. Birdie was buried in Louisville Cemetery.
