Biography

Mary Heald was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on August 18, 1691, the daughter of John Heald and Mary Chandler.^[1][2][3]

On May 12, 1718, she married in Concord, John Parlin, Jr., son of John and Mary (Hartwell) Parlin of Concord. They had seven children:^[1][2][4]

1. John, born February 8, 1719; married April 2, 1745, Margaret MacCollo; died March 25, 1806.
2. Amos, born about 1721; married, intention March 26, 1757, Esther Davies.^[5]
3. Elizabeth, born ____; married January 14, 1745, Samuel Kibby.^[6]
4. Jonathan, born ____.
5. Lydia, born September 7, 1730; married February 25, 1752, Sampson Hildreth.^[7][8]
6. Esther, born March 13, 1732/3; married April 26, 1757, Jacob Melvin.^[9][10]
7. Stephen, born August 18, 1735; died, unmarried, at Temple, New Hampshire.^[11]

Mary (Heald) Parlin died in Concord on January 5, 1754, at the age of 62 (in her 63rd year). She is buried at Old Hill Burying Ground in Concord, where her gravestone reads:^[2][12][13]
