Biography
Elijah Heath is a part of US Black heritage.
Elijah was an enslaved person who lived in Chester County, South Carolina in 1825.
Elijah was cited in the will of William Heath as follows:
Item 15: I give and bequeath unto my brother, Adam Heath & his heirs, one negro named Elijah which has for sometime been here in Lancaster District.
Elijah was likely born prior to 1803, since enslaved persons under the age of twenty-one, were cited in the will with conditions.
Elijah is cited in a manner that is markedly different than all other enslaved persons listed in the will document. It's doubtful that he was born in Chester County, South Carolina.
