Mr. Hancock, besides being Assistant City Commissioner of Baltimore, is a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve, and having been ordered to join the Philadelphia, came north to bid adieu to his fiancee, but, after a short consultation upon his arrival, it was determined that the marriage should be solemnized at once, and the Rev. Dr. Burrell, of the Collegiate Church, Fifth Avenue, was summoned to the hotel, where the ceremony was quietly performed. The bride and groom left on Tuesday for Baltimore. Mrs. Hancock, whose home has recently been in Harlem, formerly lived on Spencer place, and has many friends in Brooklyn.
